About Cool Kids NZ

Cool Kids is a New Zealand company established by Annie Light and Jo Baxter during the summer months of 2009. 

After a couple of years having an idea swirling around her head, Annie united with Jo and decided to make the idea become reality.  They are backed by their supportive husbands Nick and Corey.  So, the journey began to deliver identification wristbands to New Zealand families, which not only provides peace of mind for parents and caregivers, but also come in a range of bright colours that Kiwi kids enjoy wearing.

Every parent or caregiver agrees when it comes to safety, nothing should be compromised.  They all know how challenging it can be when out shopping, at festivals, malls, amusement parks or even travelling overseas.  High congested areas or a child with an enquiring mind can test every parent's confidence.  Annie and Jo know this all too well as both are mothers to three and love nothing more than to hit the shops!

The wristbands are simple to use and are an inexpensive identification tool for children.  The idea is to write your contact phone number on the wristband so that should you become separated from your child while out and about, you can be reunited quickly, minimizing stress for both child and caregiver.  They are available in five colours, yellow, pink, purple, green and blue and made of strong, durable and waterproof Tyvek material that will not rip or tear.  For ease of use, they are made so that one size fits all.

Annie and Jo are proud to stand behind their product and help parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties – all carers to have peace of mind that if you were to be separated from your child, someone would phone the number on the wristband to reunite child and carer quickly.  They have also made a commitment to help all Kiwi families by donating 10 cents for every Cool Kids wristband sold to Plunket.
